What will the session be like?
Preparation:
Find a place where you can be undisturbed, and feel you have privacy to speak openly.
Consider bringing with you: a pen and notebook, head phones, tissues, a sweater, a blanket, a glass of water or a cup of tea, and anything that is calling out to you to be with you at the session.
What will the session be like?:
Arrive - You will arrive either via zoom, with or without video, whichever you prefer, or we will connect via speakerphone.
Connect - We will spend time talking and leave space to share whatever is on your mind. What is coming up for you about your current life question, challenge, or circumstance? You are held compassionately and non-judgmentally in healing energy.
Ground & Center - After we talk, you will get comfortable laying down or sitting up. You will be guided in a grounding relaxation exercise as a way to get centered and grounded. Shamanic rattling and/or drumming will fill the space. I will journey to connect with the helping spirits and determine what spiritual healing would be of greatest benefit (see the offerings page for an idea of different remedies that I offer).
Journey - I can journey for you for the shamanic healing, while you rest or stay in a meditative, grounded state, or we embark on a facilitated journey. In a facilitated journey I am tuned into the helping spirits and to you. I hold the space for the journey to unfold and guide you through it so you can have your own first hand experience. This is similar to a guided meditation, where you might use visualization or felt sense and intuition. One example is reconnecting you with soul parts or life force energy. I will guide you in welcoming the energy back in using breath, mind, and body.
Debrief/Conclusion- I will share the 'healing story' a way of understanding the healing that has taken place, as shared by the guides, and we also summarize and may have some discussion. You may be guided in some grounding and relaxation, throughout and/or at the end of your session.
Post-Session & Integration:
I encourage you to schedule some time after your session to take care of yourself in any way that suites you, for the purpose of offering yourself even more support and tending as you move out of your session and begin to integration phase.
Some ideas to support integration: rest, walking or aimless wandering in nature or in your neighborhood, writing, creative expression, emotional expression, or physical movement of any sort. Every person integrates healing differently. Ask yourself what you need with curiosity, and be led to your own unique discovery of what would support you.
